Wine, Cheese & Bocce

A survey of members interests in extending the (substantial) list of activity groups offered through Greythorn Probus Club showed three specific activities receiving the larger number of positive ‘we’d like’ responses.

Two of these were ‘Bocce’ and ‘Wine & Cheese’.  How to arrange for the introduction of these activities.

With the long summer evenings of Australian ‘Summer Time’ an obvious solution appeared to be joining these as outdoor activities to enjoy the wine and cheese in a local park – and where better to build some competitive (?) bocce!  Well, we’ve all got a lot of development of our Bocce skills to succeed in competition.

The activity is restricted to the evenings of daylight saving and, subject to building and maintenance works, will continue to be held at Greythorn Park – close to our meeting location.
